The history of Jhula Devi Temple is rooted in local folklore. Legend has it that the villagers of the area were once troubled by wild animals, particularly tigers and leopards, who would often attack their livestock and even pose a threat to human life. The villagers prayed to Goddess Durga for protection, and it is believed that the Goddess appeared in a dream to one of the shepherds, instructing him to build a temple. She assured him that the temple would safeguard the village from these threats. Initially, a small shrine was constructed, and as the villagers' wishes were fulfilled, they started offering bells to the Goddess.
