History:
The Shri Radha Raman Temple was established by Gopal Bhatta Goswami, a disciple of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, around 1542. It is believed that Gopal Bhatta Goswami desired to worship Krishna in a form that was both beautiful and accessible. After intense devotion, the saligram shila he possessed miraculously transformed into the enchanting form of Radha Raman. No human hand has ever made the deity. The temple has since become a significant pilgrimage site for Gaudiya Vaishnavas. The temple has been maintained and expanded over the centuries by the descendants of Gopal Bhatta Goswami, preserving its rich heritage and spiritual significance.
