The Buddh International Circuit (BIC) is India's premier motorsport venue, a world-class track designed by Hermann Tilke, the architect behind many Formula 1 circuits. History:
The Buddh International Circuit was inaugurated in 2011 and hosted the Formula 1 Indian Grand Prix from 2011 to 2013. These races brought international attention to Indian motorsport and showcased the country's growing interest in Formula 1. Sebastian Vettel won all three races held at the circuit. The circuit was named after Gautam Buddha. Unfortunately, due to tax and financial issues, the Indian Grand Prix was discontinued. Despite this, the circuit continues to host other motorsport events, driving experiences, and corporate events, maintaining its position as a key motorsport venue in India. The track is still a benchmark for racing infrastructure in the country.
