The ashram is built on the site where two saints, Sombari Maharaj and Sadhu Prem Puri Maharaj, once performed yagnas. Maharaj-ji's presence transformed Kainchi Dham into a powerful spiritual center. After Maharaj-ji's passing in 1973, the ashram continued to flourish, preserving his teachings and legacy.
