The second miracle tells of Mary saving Portuguese sailors from a violent storm in the Bay of Bengal. In gratitude, they built a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Good Health. The third miracle involves a crippled woman who was miraculously healed after bathing in the local spring. Over time, the small chapel was expanded into a grand basilica, attracting devotees from across the globe.
