History:

The Dhyanalinga was conceptualized by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and took three years to complete. It was opened to the public in 1999. The creation of the Dhyanalinga involved a unique process of energizing the linga using tantric principles, without any external rituals or chants. The purpose was to create a space where anyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, could experience meditation and inner peace. The surrounding Parikrama, featuring relief panels depicting the lives of enlightened beings from various traditions, was added later to enhance the spiritual experience. Dhyanalinga stands as a testament to Sadhguru's vision of creating a universal space for meditation and self-discovery.
