Built by Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner in 1922, Gajner Palace served as a royal hunting lodge and a retreat for the royal family. The palace is situated on the banks of Gajner Lake, an artificial reservoir created by diverting the waters of the Ganges Canal. Historically, the lake and surrounding sanctuary were abundant with wildlife, and the Maharaja would host grand hunting expeditions for his guests, including British royalty and dignitaries. After Indian independence, the palace was converted into a heritage hotel, preserving its historical charm while offering modern amenities.
