History:
Pushpa Gujral Science City was conceived as a project to popularize science and technology among the masses, particularly students, in the state of Punjab. It is named after Pushpa Gujral, the mother of former Indian Prime Minister I.K. Gujral. The foundation stone was laid in 1997, and the Science City was inaugurated in 2005. Since its inception, it has served as a major hub for science education and innovation in the region. The Science City continually updates its exhibits and programs to keep pace with advancements in science and technology, ensuring that visitors always have something new to discover. It has played a crucial role in promoting scientific temper and fostering a love for learning among the youth of Punjab and beyond.
