History:
Pushpa Gujral Science City was conceived as a joint project of the Government of India and the Government of Punjab to create a world-class science awareness center. It was established to encourage interest in science and technology among the youth and general public. Named after the mother of former Indian Prime Minister I. K. Gujral, the Science City was inaugurated on March 19, 2005. Since its inception, it has been a major attraction in the region, drawing visitors from across the country. Over the years, the Science City has continuously added new exhibits and attractions to remain relevant and engaging, solidifying its position as a leading science center in India.
