History:
Pushpa Gujral Science City was conceived to promote science and technology awareness in Punjab and beyond. It is named after Pushpa Gujral, the mother of former Indian Prime Minister I.K. Gujral. The foundation stone was laid in 1997, and the Science City was officially opened to the public in 2005. The aim was to create a dynamic and interactive learning environment that would inspire young minds to pursue careers in science and technology. Over the years, the Science City has expanded its exhibits and programs, becoming a major educational and tourist attraction in the region.
