The Priyadarsini Planetarium, located within the Kerala State Science and Technology Museum complex, was inaugurated in 1994. It was established with the aim of popularizing science and technology, particularly astronomy and space science, among the public. The planetarium is named after Priyadarsini, a title of Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister of India. Over the years, the planetarium has upgraded its technology and expanded its show offerings to keep pace with advancements in space exploration and scientific knowledge.
