It's a must-visit for art enthusiasts and anyone interested in experiencing Kochi's vibrant cultural scene.

History:

Pepper House, originally part of Aspinwall House, served as a warehouse for spices, especially pepper, during Kochi's colonial era. Built in the 19th century by John H. Aspinwall, an American trader, the warehouse played a key role in the spice trade. Over time, Aspinwall House and its associated buildings transitioned from trade to other uses. With the advent of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in 2012, Pepper House was revitalized as a major exhibition space, breathing new life into the historic structure and contributing to Kochi's growing reputation as a center for contemporary art.
