History:
Ibrahim Rauza was built by Ibrahim Adil Shah II, the Sultan of Bijapur, in the late 16th century. It is said to have been inspired by the tomb of Mughal Emperor Humayun in Delhi. The complex was designed by Persian architect Malik Sandal and took over two decades to complete. Ibrahim Adil Shah II envisioned it as a symbol of his love for his queen and a testament to the architectural prowess of his reign.
