The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the highest cable cars in the world, offering breathtaking views of the Himalayas. History:
The Gulmarg Gondola project was developed in phases. Phase 1, connecting Gulmarg to Kongdori, was completed in 1998. Phase 2, extending the cable car to Apharwat Peak, was finished in 2005. The gondola was built with French collaboration and has significantly boosted tourism in Gulmarg. Initially, it offered limited capacity, but upgrades have increased the number of passengers it can transport. The gondola has become an iconic symbol of Gulmarg, attracting visitors from around the globe to experience its thrilling ride and stunning Himalayan scenery.
