History:

The Tara Devi Temple is believed to be around 250 years old. Legend says that the Sen Dynasty rulers of the former princely state of Suket brought the idol of the goddess Tara from Bengal. The temple was initially located in the present-day Chota Shimla area and was later shifted to its current location on Tarav Parvat. The temple's architecture reflects a blend of Himalayan and Bengali styles. Over the years, the temple has become a significant pilgrimage site for devotees and a popular tourist destination for its scenic beauty and spiritual significance.
