History:

Chinmaya Tapovan was established by Swami Chinmayananda, a renowned spiritual leader and founder of the Chinmaya Mission. He envisioned a place where individuals could come to study Vedanta, practice meditation, and engage in selfless service. The ashram was built in the late 20th century and quickly became a significant center for spiritual learning and practice. Swami Chinmayananda spent a considerable amount of time here, conducting discourses and guiding disciples. After his Mahasamadhi, a samadhi shrine was built in his memory, which is now a major attraction for devotees. The ashram continues to uphold his teachings and traditions, serving as a beacon of spiritual knowledge and service to the community.
