History:
Ibrahim Lodhi ruled the Delhi Sultanate from 1517 to 1526. His reign was marked by rebellions and discontent among his nobles. He was perceived as arrogant and tyrannical, which weakened his empire. In 1526, Babur, a descendant of Timur, invaded India and challenged Lodhi's authority. The two armies clashed at the First Battle of Panipat. Despite having a larger army, Ibrahim Lodhi was defeated and killed by Babur's superior tactics and artillery. Following his death, he was buried near the battlefield. The tomb was later constructed to commemorate him. Although the exact details of its construction are debated, it stands as a testament to the Lodhi dynasty's final stand.
